Impermanence

An abhanga poem about the moon melting

IMPERMANENCE

Worried fairies gather
like stardust in the night
insist I get it right
I moan and gasp

feelings of confusion
confound — my jaw goes lax
I see Moon drip like wax
dissolving fast
